If you are receiving treatment from an approved mental health professional for a identified mental illness or emotional disability, you can ask them to write you an ESA letter. This is a simple process, but it could make a real difference. With a valid ESA letter, you and your emotional support animal are acceptable for legal protections, such as being able to travel with your ESA in the chalet free of charge on commercial tours and living with your ESA in hired accommodation.

An ESA letter should be written on the certified letterhead of your doctor or psychoanalyst, and state that you have been recognized with a psychological disease for which you are delivery behavior. Esas are not allowed in stores because they aren’t medical equipment and trained to do a certain task.. point being don’t try to tell me that ab esa has the same rights as a service dog meanwhile a service dog can sense medical issues with their handlers meanwhile esas are more for the mental state of their handler.. but still not considered medical equipment

I own a reall Service animal . This service they are selling disgust me completely . They are cheapening Real Service animals trained by Professions and Screened by Professionals . Emotional Support Animals are Not Service Animals and Interfere with my dog Daily. They are not allowed in Grocery stores Restaurants and hopefully soon Planes. In Florida they started putting people in Jail for Lying . The ADA makes the rules not me. Unless your a lying sack of pooh ? Your dog is an untrained dog and you are a untrained person except at lying .... It make people give up on there 36 thousand Dog and go back to other means of mobility. Everyone likes a service animal until they Learn the Rules. Then know one likes to be around them. Pretty Sad! Those Emotional support dogs ruin my dogs training and all the people who helped me get Him. Shame on you and may God have a special place in Hevan for you because I dont want to even be around youthere either ... Scumm Bags

I think u r being quite presumptuous of u to decide whether or not a person may or may not need an emotional support animal. And, to say they're untrained. All are not untrained if they're able to keep someone with mental illness calm and collected that is trained enough for the job. Just BC ur insurance company provided u w a 36000 dollar dog does not mean that a person w a mutt or a bird or whatever kind of animal that person has as their animal does not mean that they shouldn't have it. The price and training of ur dog is irrelevant. Im sure u r physically impaired/disabled in some form and fortunately for u ur allowed to have a legally trained service animal who gets the job done. U should be grateful that an animal is capable of making ur quality of life better than it would be with out it. My mom is in a wheelchair and suffers from severe panic and anxiety disorder and her dog keeps her level and if anything where to happen also knows how to get help for her. If it were not for her dog she truly would not get out of the bed in the morning. Her dog has honestly saved her life. Unfortunately service animals are not regulated for mental health disabilities and are not offered by insurance companies. Therefore some have to result to getting help from sites such as this that will help. Please don't judge a person who has an emotional pet BC mental disabilities are invisible and u never know who might really be in need of one. I don't know about this site bc Im just now reading the reviews, but I do know ur comment is unfair and a lot of what u had to say is irrelevant to why a person should not have an emotional support animal. Im sure some ppl abuse this opportunity, but to say all get in ur 36000 dollar dogs way and basically don't deserve to have an esa is ridiculous. The price and certification is relevant and necessary for u and aiding u with ur disability. And, a person with a licensed psychologist approval letter for a free esa pet aiding another person with a mental illness is also necessary for that person. If service animals where offered as a means of ones mental health treatment by the board of medicine Im sure many ppl would not be getting away w lying and more ppl would be being helped by being provided with "trained" "certified" "$36,000"service animals like u r and there wouldn't be a damn thing u could do about it However, im sure having a pet that is a part of the family is probably much better for a persons mental comfortability anyways. So, get off ur high horse and chill out. And, Im sure God will be in great company when my mom gets to meet him. Based on ur comment I think u may have that backwards. Peace and love either way!
Tip: Maybe try to find a local or virtual anger management group. Im sure u would benefit greatly from it.

I recently got a working dog vest. They sent me the wrong velcro badge. It says Service dog in training.. I have PTSD for 60 years and low blood sugar problems diagnosed around age 16 or 17 so about 50 years. I want a therapy dog. But, don't know what breed. My little rescue is Jack Russell /Chihuahua mix doesn't seem the type I need. Could use a little help
